I asked my Council of Guides what they felt was important for us to focus on now and they replied “questing for your inner beauty, and the beauty around you.” We are all keen to help transform this world into a better place, and it starts with our inner transformation. The more I meditate and go within, the more I find myself able to move out into the universe, and into a realm of oneness with others. It is a fascinating phenomenon! This quest will ultimately bring clarity to our uniqueness, allow us to savor beauty in and around us, but also raise our vibration in the process on our path of ascension. This quest has three phases – 1. Discover your inner beauty – your gifts, skills, values, vibrational signature., 2. Discover the beauty in nature, 3. Bring a representation of your inner beauty and beauty in nature back into your home environment to serve as a reminder (positive affirmation) to cherish the beauty in us and around us and let it reinforce our higher vibrations of joy, love, gratitude, bliss, and confidence in our worth. It is a gift we can give ourselves that also gives to others by creating an uplifting home environment.
So, let’s do it! To begin with Phase I, the beauty we are looking for is a reflection of our soul essence found in our heart. Inner beauty encompasses the qualities of your character, the vibrancy of your spirit, and the impact you have on those around you. You recognize your moral integrity, personal values, and emotional depth. It is not static, but grows and evolves with you. Society overly reinforces outer beauty with an impossible goal of perfection, making so many of us feel like we are failing and insignificant. I feel that the beauty of our soul acts like a shield to the bombardment of negativity we experience daily. The beauty we seek is the truth of our being and its special qualities that make us unique. It’s the special vibration that we radiate out into the world, and it’s time we celebrate it!
This inner beauty will be found in our heart – that multidimensional space that holds our soul essence. So going within to our heart and exploring that space will help reveal to us our soul qualities. These qualities are unique to our soul self and help to define our values, gifts, and skills. One of the best meditations I have found to discover these soul essence qualities is in the meditation on my website, and now on YouTube for an audio-visual version, called Exploring the Heart Sanctuary. In this meditation you can discover your soul essence qualities in your heart sanctuary, but also meet with your Higher Self and other guides for guidance and to be raised up further into your higher potential. It’s a meditation that I do repeatedly with new results every time, and has become a safe space to meet with my guides. The very first time I did this meditation, my room consisted of a large round table and all my Council of guides were sitting around it waiting for me! It’s a great place of refuge when you are feeling overwhelmed, and many treasures can be discovered there.
Also, as you journey through life, facing challenges and overcoming obstacles, your inner beauty becomes more pronounced. It’s shaped by your experiences, your reactions to adversity, and your ability to maintain grace and compassion in these trying times. Besides, the Exploring the Heart Sanctuary meditation, here are some more thoughts on discovering and upholding your inner beauty.
- Practice Self-Compassion – Self-compassion encourages a mindset shift from self-criticism to self-support. Incorporating self-compassion into your daily life can significantly impact your mental and emotional well-being. Be kind to yourself. When you are kind and forgiving to yourself, you can extend these to others.
- Develop a Positive Mindset – Shift the focus of what you have and not what you don’t have. Energy will manifest what you focus on! Practice gratitude. Send with love and receive with gratitude, it keeps the flow of abundance and emotional health going. Be with people that uplift you and do not drain your energy. Consume media that inspires an does not generate fear and negativity. Use positive affirmations and rewire your brain to believe in your worth and beauty. Challenge self-defeating thoughts and question their validity, and replace with positive thoughts.
- Have fun – Joy is the highest vibration of the heart along with Love – allow them into your life! Engage in activities that make you feel good. Try something new and play.
- Show Kindness & Empathy – Allow your heart to be open and understanding. Reach out and connect from your heart – not only to other humans, but plants and animals too. Create a heart network.
- Discover and Embrace your Uniqueness – Take a moment to reflect on your qualities, achievements, strengths, and life experiences that define you and your passions and hobbies. Don’t compare yourself to others – celebrate what makes you different. You can write down three things that you like about yourself that are not related to your physical appearance, and then let the list grow. Beauty is revealed in your character and the light that radiates from within. It is a reflection of the truthfulness and honesty of who you are. You don’t need to be perfect, but comfortable in being yourself in the present moment. Embracing your inner beauty is about recognizing and valuing the qualities that make you unique. You may have qualities such as friendliness, kindness, artistic, creative, dependable, resilience, honesty, confidence, loyalty, considerateness. Practice looking in the mirror, smiling, and complimenting yourself.
- Visit your dark side and expand your self-knowledge – Kindly and courageously examine your dark side. Imagine you are shining divine Light into the shadows within. You may discover truths about yourself you have a hard time accepting, or old emotional or karmic wounds, or gifts that hold power that you are reluctant to possess. Bring your Higher Self with you or a spirit guide to explore these dark places. Shoshimi is the twin flame of Lord Lanto of the Yellow Ray of Wisdom. Her spirit animal is the black jaguar, so she brings fierce protection with you into these dark places and brings you the courage and awareness to see there is actually nothing to be afraid of. They are just areas within that require loving light and attention to heal and transform you – to empower you. You can also call upon Archangel Michael, who will not only lend your protection, but help you release and dispose of what no longer serves you.
- Set new goals – Assess what you do and don’t want from your life. Change your life for the better with determination. Once you discover your values and skills, you have more clarity on how to utilize and nurture these qualities in your life. Take responsibility for your happiness and life choices instead of blaming others or seeking validation from outside sources. Clear away what prevents your inner beauty from shining out into the world. Look for what enhances your awareness and ability to see your inner beauty or the beauty in the world. In this way you will consciously take action to enhance your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.
- Nurture with Nature – Phase 2 of the Quest: The energetic vibrations found in nature (thanks to all those loving and industrious nature spirits!) are tremendously healing for the body and soul. We have cut ourselves off from this nurturing source and Mother Earth and need to reconnect. Now is the time! Go out into nature today and find something that speaks to your heart and soul – something beautiful or is a soothing balm to your senses, and bring it back into your home environment, or take a picture of it, paint it, draw it, sing a song about it, converse with it – whatever it takes to capture those nurturing vibrations. It’s been discovered that plants have a musical signature. Not only that, but I have conversed with the spirits of crystals and trees. Connect with these spirits, and nature spirits, and bring magic into your life!
- Phase 3 of the Quest: Create a representation of your soul qualities in a picture collage, a symbolic picture or object, a symbolic crystal, or mandala. Bring in a representation of what you found in nature that touched your heart – a flower, acorn, rock, leaf, or take a photo of that location that soothed your soul, and bring these into the heart of your home or create an altar to display them. They are constant reminders that you are a beautiful, unique, and important soul that affects the planet, and that you are also supported and surrounded by nurturing beauty as well.
