The month of February with Valentine’s Day brings to my mind, not only romantic love, but all the forms of love – self-love, relationships formed from the heart whether it is friends, family or colleagues, love for the planet, love for your pets and animals, love of flowers and plants, and unconditional love. I like to focus during this month on the ability to love. Is the heart cleared of old wounds and beliefs so that it can love freely? Are you filled with so much love for yourself that you can then share love with others? How do you heal with love? Here are two crystals – Rhodochrosite and Rhodonite, that help with loving from the heart.
This excerpt is from my new card deck – Spirits of the Crystal Kingdom II. I connected to the spirit of each crystal to learn about its qualities, and also what the spirit of that crystal looked like. What was interesting to me is that the colors of the crystal spirit seem to represent how it radiated loving energy – inwards or outwards. Rhodochrosite’s spirit looked like a white star that radiated pink energy. It symbolized to me how the inner self represented by the white star was surrounded by loving energy to nurture it. This crystal is about self-love, loving your “inner child” so that you can love others. In opposition, the spirit of the Rhodonite crystal was a pink star radiating white light. This crystal is about radiating love outwards to the world as your heart expresses itself.

Reflection: Rhodochrosite reminds you to lovingly embrace your inner child – hold it, converse, and listen to it. Is it suffering from an old wound, or need to express a desire? Does it have words of inner wisdom for you to hear? Learn from your connection to your inner child-like sense of wonder, curiosity, and creativity. Lovingly comfort and heal your inner child so that you can both move forward with greater awareness, self-love, and strength on your life path together.
