When I was writing the trilogy of books, Astara’s Journey, I channeled over 80 spirit guides to receive their pearls of wisdom and often asked them to contribute mediations/visualizations for the book. One of the guides I channeled was Merlin. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if he was more myth than guide or what to expect. I was amazed to find he was a present day guide, and the two visualizations I received from this wizard of divine alchemy were astonishingly beneficial in the information they revealed. These are great visualizations for any time of the year, but especially during the winter months of reflection and looking towards the approaching New Year and the best path to follow for that year. Here are two of Merlin’s visualizations that will prove very insightful.
About Merlin – Master Wizard of Inner Alchemy and Earth Magic
He is also known as Merlinus Ambrosius or Myrrdin Emrys, and is a wizard and master of inner alchemy and Earth magic, as well as a prophet, bard, teacher, and advisor. He can help you to invoke you inner magic – your skills and abilities latent within you, to expand your understanding of your soul essence and mission.
These are excerpts from Astara’s Journey – Book Two: El Morya’s Pavilion to Merlin’s Abode.
This scene takes place in Merlin’s cottage in the Divine Forest with Merlin, Astara, and her companions. They are following Merlin into a surprising addition to the small cottage.
“They all exchanged glances of disbelief as they had all explored the small cottage at one time or another and as far as they could see there were only bedrooms, a small bathing room, a kitchen area and the main living space that included the oaken table and the fireplace. Curiosity drove them to follow his footsteps and at the end of the hall he turned left and there was a golden oak door there! He opened the door and they all filed in to an oak paneled room that had a large round table in the center of the room with chairs all around it. There were lit silver sconces in the shape of different constellations on the walls that provided light along with a silver chandelier in the form of the Milky Way that hung over the table. The table had white illuminated markings over a dark navy background. It looked like a star map that included constellations, but it had many other markings on it that were of a language they did not recognize.
Merlin eagerly announced, ‘Take your seats around the table.’
He rapped the table and the map turned into a three-dimensional hologram that floated over the table. Its stars flashed their light and flickered like candles within the hologram. It all rotated around with a slow rotation that was very elegant and graceful. They all sat around the table entranced with the star map and amazed. It seemed this whole room appeared only when he needed it to. What other rooms lay dormant she wondered? The size of the cottage certainly was an illusion.
Merlin was clearly delighted with his star map and gazed wonderingly at it himself for a few moments and then shook his head and focused on his purpose in bringing them there, ‘I have been utterly delighted with your company and shared my wisdom with you. I have lost track of the time in our mirth and the snow this morning has reminded me. I believe it is important for you to continue on your journey as some of you have connections of divine timing to make. Tonight is the eve of the New Year so we will celebrate that joyously. It seems that tomorrow would be a perfect time to continue your journey as it is the first day of the New Year – January 1st. I send you off on the hopeful invitation that you will return to my cottage one day very soon. As a parting gift, and perhaps to help you realize a return visit, I would like to share one more meditation with you. This is a meditation that will help you look into the future. Settle yourselves into stillness now.’
They all exchanged looks of astonishment with each other and then slowly settled themselves.
Merlin’s “Looking into the Future” meditation
“Merlin cleared his throat and began, ‘Look deeply within the star map now and imagine being inside of it. When you are not in this room you can imagine sitting here as you are now in front of the star map with me. I am shining protective light over you that will guide you. Imagine what you would desire most in the future and see a symbol of it appear directly in front of you. Let it represent your path of greatest light for the next year. Take this symbol and ‘throw’ it into the center of the star map – into the future. The symbol will find its diving timing in the future and begin to broadcast data back to you about how to arrive at that place by creating a light path to you. Your energetic flow of love and trust will keep its trail to you strong. See your symbol now appear in the star map.
“Now follow the light trail and imagine it is one week from today. Let any feelings, thoughts, or images come through bringing you any information on this desire. Then move one month forward and collect any information. Then move six months forward and do the same, and then one year forward. Imagine your future self is observing your present self and witnessing the path of light between you. Does your future-self have any advice on actions, thoughts, or behaviors that will assist you in implementing the path? Take note of the information you collected along the light trail and with your future self. Thank your future self for their assistance and return to wakefulness.’”
“One chilly evening as they all sat around the hearth they were passing around some fascinating old books and tomes of Merlin’s. He was busily answering their questions on the various pages when an idea struck him and he promptly interjected, ‘I would like you all to place all the books down and close your eyes for a moment and find silence within. We are going to work now with your own inner magic. You are fellow wizards with your own book!’
Your Magical Soul Book Visualization
‘Imagine that this book is appearing before you out of the air and hovering before you. All I will tell you about this book is that it is your magical Soul Book. Take a moment to look at all the details of the outer appearance of this book and its vibrations. Know that this is your unique Soul Book. I want you to place your intention now on opening the book to a descriptive page on your soul. You can intend to turn to a page presenting you information on your current soul mission. or any other inquiry. Touch a page and then open the book to that page. What does this page look like – any ornamentation, colors, or symbols? Read with your inner vision the information on your soul that is on that page. A hologram or images may appear that metaphorically communicates the information. Read with your inner vision the information that answers your inquiry from your soul.
‘Then, place the intention that you will turn to a page that will list three immediate steps that you can take that will move you forward on the path of your soul purpose. Touch a page intuitively, and then open the book to that page. Again, what does this page look like? What information are you receiving? Know that you can ask for information concerning past lives, or for searching for past life skills that will assist you now, ask for healing information, and much more. So, place an intention now of your own choosing, touch a page, and open to that page. Take some time to reflect and remember all the information you have just received. I recommend you journal this information for your own records and self-exploration. Know that you can open your book and seek information at any time you choose. Your book is always with you. When you are ready close your book and come to a waking state.’”
